Medical equipment logistics in Charlotte
Healthcare in Charlotte, North Carolina runs on equipment that cannot sit idle, and when it has to move, it has to move carefully. RapidMed Logistics serves the hospital campuses, medical office buildings and outpatient centers in and around Charlotte, including the clinics, imaging centers and surgery centers that tend to cluster near the area's major health systems. Typical Charlotte jobs include rehab and therapy equipment, ultrasound machines, dental chairs and CBCT units and autoclaves and sterilizers, as well as single pieces that simply need to get from one room or building to another. Because North Carolina is inside our same-day region, a call to dispatch can usually put a dedicated truck at your Charlotte dock the same day. Each move is a dedicated, single-load run: equipment is blanket-wrapped, strapped, loaded by liftgate and kept upright, then brought inside and set in the room you choose by a 2-person or 3-person white-glove crew. We also cover Raleigh and Durham and other North Carolina communities near Charlotte. To plan a Charlotte move, send the equipment make and model, weight, dimensions, photos and both addresses, and we will come back with a clear quote.

How medical equipment moves work in Charlotte, NC
How a Charlotte medical equipment move works
A medical equipment move in Charlotte, NC begins with a call to 866-216-7742 or a quote request. Tell us the equipment make and model, the pickup and delivery addresses, the dimensions and weight, and any stairs, elevators or dock limits. We confirm the truck, the crew and the pickup window, then dispatch a hot shot vehicle that runs direct from pickup to delivery with no terminal transfers.
The pickup and delivery buildings usually decide how long a move takes, so we confirm docks, elevator size, door widths and receiving hours up front.
We serve hospitals, imaging centers, labs, clinics and manufacturers in Charlotte and nearby Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro. Same-day and next-day pickup is available in North Carolina.
How to prepare equipment before pickup in Charlotte
- Confirm in writing whether the manufacturer (OEM) or a certified biomedical engineer must de-install and re-install the unit, and book them before the pickup date.
- Back up data, then remove or wipe protected health information so the move stays HIPAA-compliant.
- Clean and decontaminate the unit, drain fluids and remove consumables, and keep a record that it was done.
- Secure or remove loose parts, cables and accessories, and label everything so it can be matched to the unit at delivery.
