How to prepare for a move in any state
- Confirm in writing whether the manufacturer (OEM) or a certified biomedical engineer must de-install and re-install the unit, and book them before the pickup date.
- Back up data, then remove or wipe protected health information so the move stays HIPAA-compliant.
- Clean and decontaminate the unit, drain fluids and remove consumables, and keep a record that it was done.
- Secure or remove loose parts, cables and accessories, and label everything so it can be matched to the unit at delivery.
What is included in every move
