Hot shot & STAT

Same-day hot shot medical equipment delivery, 24/7

When equipment is down or a room is waiting, a shared freight schedule is too slow. RapidMed Logistics sends a dedicated vehicle direct from pickup to your door, with a white-glove crew to bring the equipment inside.

Dispatch is staffed 24/7.

How hot shot medical delivery works

Hot shot is the opposite of consolidated freight. Instead of waiting for a terminal and a shared route, your equipment is the only load on the vehicle. We confirm the equipment, the addresses and the deadline, assign a vehicle and crew, and the truck goes straight from the pickup to the destination. There are no hand-offs in between, which removes the transfers where equipment is most often delayed or damaged.

Because the run is dedicated, it can start when the equipment is released rather than on a carrier's schedule. A manufacturer technician finishes de-installation at one hour and the truck is there the same hour. The same applies at delivery: the crew arrives when the room and the installer are ready, which matters for imaging systems, lab instruments and anything that has to be running before the next patient or test.

We run same-day service across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC and North Carolina, and dedicated vehicles are dispatched nationwide on the fastest practical schedule. International moves go by air or ocean with export crating and customs paperwork.

Hot shot delivery FAQs

What is hot shot medical equipment delivery?
Hot shot delivery is a dedicated, point-to-point run. One vehicle picks up your equipment and drives it straight to the destination with no terminal transfers and no other freight, so the timing depends on your pickup and the distance rather than on a shared route.
Can you deliver medical equipment the same day?
Yes, across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC and North Carolina, subject to the distance, the equipment and the availability of the building at each end. Elsewhere we dispatch a dedicated vehicle on the fastest practical schedule. Call 866-216-7742; dispatch is staffed 24/7.
What kinds of equipment go by hot shot?
Anything that is down, blocking a room or tied to a patient schedule: imaging systems, ultrasound, monitors, ventilators, beds, lab instruments, surgical equipment and replacement parts. Large systems still need the manufacturer or a rigger to de-install and install them.
Is white-glove inside delivery included with hot shot?
Yes. A trained 2-person or 3-person crew protects the path, brings the equipment to the room you choose, sets it in place and removes the packing material.
How much does hot shot delivery cost?
Price depends on distance, weight and size, packing, access at both ends and how fast it has to arrive. We quote each move individually; see our shipping cost guide for what drives the price.
