How to prepare any medical equipment for transport

• Confirm in writing whether the manufacturer (OEM) or a certified biomedical engineer must de-install and re-install the unit, and book them before the pickup date.
• Back up data, then remove or wipe protected health information so the move stays HIPAA-compliant.
• Clean and decontaminate the unit, drain fluids and remove consumables, and keep a record that it was done.
• Secure or remove loose parts, cables and accessories, and label everything so it can be matched to the unit at delivery.

Do I need the manufacturer to move my equipment?

For many systems the warranty or service contract calls for the manufacturer or a certified biomedical engineer to de-install and re-install the unit. We coordinate with them.

Do you provide crating and padding?

Yes. We use custom crates for long-distance or international moves and padded blanket wrap for local moves, and air-ride and climate-controlled trucks are available.
